Dice recently hosted a webinar on five lessons learned that will make virtual career events work for you in your tech hiring strategy. In the webinar, panelists from Dice and Optum talk about what a virtual career event is, why most talent professionals agree that virtual career events are here to stay and best practices for making virtual career events an effective contributor to your organization's recruiting efforts.

If you missed the live webinar, you can watch it below. For a taste of what to expect, check out some of the questions our panelists didn't get to answer during the webinar but answered below:

Is there standardized pricing for each event or does it vary? Where can I find/request pricing info?

We do have standard pricing, but a few events will vary. For pricing inquiries, please email Andrew Hooper at Andrew.Hooper@dhigroupinc.com.

Would you recommend having incentives for your career event? Sometimes we aren't getting the numbers we want and incentivizing might help.

Dice is always looking to add value for the candidates and offering incentives is a great idea! Another thing to consider if events are not drawing enough engagement is to change the timing of the event, focus of the event, day of the week of the event, etc.

What are some things that have not worked for virtual events?

Make sure that the event isn't too specific, as that might limit the number of interested candidates. Find an event length and day of the week that works best for your audience; typically, we've seen success with events that run between 2-3 hours in the middle of the week.
