Recruiters are increasing efforts to hire Linux talent, according to the 2015 Linux Jobs Report. Hiring managers are also looking more to evidence of formal training and certifications to identify qualified prospects. This is the fourth annual Linux Jobs Report that Dice has produced in partnership with The Linux Foundation. Together, nearly 4,500 hiring managers and Linux professionals were surveyed to determine what’s driving demand and the incentives and motivators used to attract Linux candidates. Key findings from the report:
- Nearly all hiring managers are looking to recruit Linux professionals in the next six months.
- The rise of open cloud platforms is creating even more demand for Linux professionals with the right expertise.
- Linux-certified professionals will be especially well positioned in the job market this year.
