A quick look at some of the movement among IT people this week. NASA appointed Larry Sweet to be Chief Information Officer. He succeeds Linda Cureton, who retired in April. Among other efforts, Sweet will oversee the agency’s Information Technology Infrastructure Integration Program, a multi-billion dollar transformation project. [InformationWeek] Banno, a targeted marketing service provider for financial institutions, named Ben Metz CTO. Metz has worked for Banno for three years, during which time he developed the architecture on which the company’s solutions are built. He also designed and created Grip, The company’ mobile platform. [Banno.com] IT security solutions provider Tripwire hired Rod Murchison as Vice President of Product Management and Technology Alliances. He brings over 20 years of experience in product development and strategies for IT security and network solutions, most recently as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Product Management for Narus. He’s also held executive positions at Code Green Networks, Juniper Networks, NetScreen Technologies, and Blue Coat Systems. [Dice News] Following its recent acquisition of American HealthTech, Healthland, a healthcare IT company, appointed Chris Bauleke to be Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO Angie Franks will now serve as the company’s President. [Healthland.com] Online video solutions provider Brightcove hired Thomas Nielson as Senior Vice President of Products. Most recently he was President and CEO of RealNetworks. Before that, he was Vice President of the Digital Imaging Group at Adobe, where he managed the company’s Photoshop, Lightroom and Elements business units and its mobile, Web and tablet solutions. [Puget Sound Business Journal] South African transaction authentication software provider Entersekt named Doug Parr as Senior Vice President for the North American Division. Parr will open an office in Atlanta, the company’s first U.S. location, and oversee the business’ expansion into the North American market. [Entersekt.com] Premier Healthcare Alliance, a purchasing network for the healthcare industry, hired Leigh Anderson to be Informatics & Technology Services Chief Operating Officer. Formerly, Anderson was the Information Technology and Services CIO for the Hospital Corporation of America’s Supply Chain Division, and CIO at HealthTrust.  [Premierinc.com] Car dealer management systems provider Dominion Dealer Solutions added Susan Moll as Vice President of Customer Services. She will be responsible for product implementations, F&I customer support operations, resource management, remote setups, training and development, implementation and on-going support strategies. [Dice News] Following an investigation by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Captain Shawn Hendricks, Program Manager for the U.S. Navy’s Naval Enterprise Network Program, was dismissed due to “a loss of confidence in his ability to lead”. According to a Navy News release, the investigation found that Hendricks had been involved in an “improper relationship and unprofessional behavior” with a subordinate contractor.
