Email marketing firm Constant Contact plans to hire up to 250 people this year, including nearly 60 tech professionals. The Massachusetts-based company seeks a wide array of people including software engineers, QA engineers, telecommunications engineers, and storage and data engineers. Cloud computing is also a big area of growth. Constant Contact is planning on hiring for all its locations including Waltham, Mass., Loveland, Colo., Delray Beach, Fla., San Francisco and New York. The San Francisco-based social media team seeks engineers who can solve complex technical problems unique to the space and have experience developing large scale web-based applications and utilizing Java back-end technologies. “We’re looking for people to build out our social media service who have excellent cooperation skills, are hungry to learn and are high energy,” says Stefan Piesche, the company's CTO. In Massachusetts, the company wants people who can build out data centers with experience in MySQL, data mapping and integration tools like Cast Iron or Boomi. They should also know flat-files parsers, batch processing, APIs and messaging. The  New York office seeks people experienced with customer communication platforms, and the Colorado office needs people in sales and support. Piesche sums it up by saying: "Overall, we're looking for people with cooperation skills, high energy and are willing to learn, contribute and lead."
