CA Technologies is hiring more than 100 people locally for the company’s Santa Clara, Calif., location, says SiliconBeat. The additions will increase the location’s workforce by about 50 percent. The Islandia, N.Y.-based company has 271 full-time employees in Santa Clara now and is looking to expand the staff there to 400, a company spokeswoman said. She added that all of the new hires would be from the area. CA Technologies is looking for Developers, Engineers, Researchers and Product Managers. New hires will work in the company’s mobility, Big Data, application performance management, cloud analytics and DevOps areas, according to the company’s website. Known as the CA Silicon Valley Technology Center, the Santa Clara location concentrates “on emerging technologies, including cloud, Software-as-a-Service, mobility and Big Data,” the company said in a press release. “CA Technologies has always had a strong presence in Silicon Valley, although this fact is not well known,” said CEO Mike Gregoire on the company’s website. “We’re here to change that.” The company has approximately 13,600 employees in 45 countries. About 6,000 employees globally are dedicated to design and support of software solutions.
