Do Not Toss Your iPhone 6 in the Microwave
Placing your iPhone in the microwave will destroy the phone, and possibly the microwave. While that might seem obvious to some people, others have fallen for the “Wave” hoax making its way around online. The fake advertisement insists that the new iOS 8 allows users to charge their iPhones by placing them in a “household microwave for a minute and a half.” Click here for iOS jobs. Microwave energy will not charge your smartphone. To the contrary, it will scorch the device and render it inoperable. If you nuke your smartphone and subsequently complain about it online, people will probably make fun of you.
Anyone who’s broken their iPhone within the past week or two, and wants to stay within the Apple ecosystem, probably has their sights set on either the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. As with any new iPhone release, however, hordes of people wanting to upgrade all but guarantees long waits for the devices. For its part, Apple hopes the new iPhones’ larger screens—the iPhone 6 measures 4.7 inches, while the iPhone 6 Plus clocks in at an impressive 5.5 inches—will draw away customers who previously went for the ultra-large “phablets” produced by Android-based manufacturers such as Samsung.
