A quick look at some of the movement among IT people this week. As part of an effort to broaden its product portfolio and combat falling profits, Hewlett-Packard announced that Todd Bradley will transition from his role as Vice President of Printing and Personal Systems to Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives. He’ll work closely with CEO Meg Whitman to “identify partnership opportunities with early stage companies that will help HP grow.” Bradley will be replaced by Dion Weisler, currently the Senior Vice President for HP’s Printing and Personal Systems division in Asia Pacific and Japan. [InfoWorld] People Moves IconMicrosoft hired Elan Lee as Chief Design Officer at Xbox Entertainment Studios, a new unit that focuses on developing interactive content for movies, television and sporting events. [Polygon] Elemental, a multiscreen video processing company, hired Aslam Khadar as Chief Product Officer. Khadar has 25 years of experience in interactive TV, most recently as Chief Technology and Product Officer at Ensequence. He’s also held positions at Intertrust Technologies and Sequent before its acquisition by IBM. [ElementalTechnologies.com] WAN optimization software company Silver Peak Systems named its founder and CTO, David Hughes, CEO. Hughes succeeds Rick Tinsley, who was hired by Hughes in 2004 to build out the company. [Silver-Peak.com] Gnip, a social media data resale startup, moved COO and President Chris Moody to CEO. Previous CEO Jud Valeski will become CTO. [All Things D] In preparation for the launch of its connected car platform, developer Zubie has expanded its executive management team. Tim Kelly, former President and Chief Executive of Network Solutions, was named CEO. Mark Angelino will be Senior Vice President, Channel Operations. Meanwhile, Navin S. Ganeshan, formerly Chief Product Strategist at Network Solutions, will serve as Vice President, Product Management. [Dice News] Government information solutions provider CACI appointed Larry Clifton to be Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President. Clifton had been the Acting Chief Human Resources Officer since February, and had been working at CACI since 2000. [caci.com] Business Applications Developer Progress Software named Karen Tegan Padir Chief Technology Officer. She’ll focus on defining and delivering the company’s technology strategy, innovation and vision, reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer Phil Pead. Meantime, John Goodson, previously Senior Vice President of Products, became Chief Product Officer. [Progress.com] Healthcare software company TriZetto appointed Douglas E. Barnett Chief Financial Officer. Barnett has 30 years of relevant experience and has held multiple CFO positions, including at UGS, where he led the sales process and strategy for the 2007 acquisition by Siemens for $3.5 billion.
