Technical consultant Sogeti USA plans to hire around 250 IT pros in 23 cities by the end of 2012. As part of a planned expansion, it's already brought aboard 400 so far in 2012. The jobs will be across its seven practice areas: advisory services, application development, business information management, engineering, infrastructure management, cloud and security, mobile and testing services. The Capgemini subsidiary, headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, provides technical consulting services to medium and large businesses as well as public-sector organizations. David Wade, Sogeti's director of human resources, said its consultants serve local clients in the cities where they live – they're not expected to jet around the country. He said hiring will be done through the local offices, not at the corporate level. The hiring will take place in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Dayton. Also in Denver, Des Moines, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Minneapolis, New York, Omaha, Phoenix, Seattle, Tallahassee and Tampa. Sogeti has partnered with Oracle, IBM and Microsoft.
