Guidewire scored the No. 1 ranking on Business Insider's Best 25 Tech Companies to Work For in 2012 list. It scored kudos for providing a work environment where engineers work along side management, giving them a fast-track for rising up the corporate ladder. This California company, which serves the insurance industry with its core system software for tackling such tasks as underwriting, also recently went public earlier this year - meaning they are likely flush with cash and in the hiring mode.
