Best Tech Employers List Includes Surprising No. 1

Ever heard of Guidewire? You may want to check them out if you’re an engineer looking to strap a rocket onto your career.

Guidewire scored the No. 1 ranking on Business Insider’s Best 25 Tech Companies to Work For in 2012 list. It scored kudos for providing a work environment where engineers work along side management, giving them a fast-track for rising up the corporate ladder.

This California company, which serves the insurance industry with its core system software for tackling such tasks as underwriting, also recently went public earlier this year – meaning they are likely flush with cash and in the hiring mode. During this month alone, the company posted 17 IT-related jobs, ranging from software engineer data visualization to Web performance software engineer.
