IT Job Growth Continued in April: IT jobs continued to grow in April, increasing by 17,000, or 0.4, percent sequentially to 4,168,700. April was the fourth consecutive month in which IT employment reached a record high. "With unemployment rates in many IT occupations less than half the national unemployment rate of 8.1 percent, we are actually seeing a talent shortage in many high-demand skill sets,” said Mark Roberts, CEO of TechServe Alliance, which published the figures. Digital Journal 3,000 Motorola Jobs Will Move to Chicago: Google is preparing to move 3,000 employees 40 miles north to downtown Chicago from Motorola Mobility’s location in suburban Libertyville. Paul Gagnon, the Director of North American TV Research for NPD DisplaySearch, expects Apple to announce “two to four models ranging from 40 to 60 inches” this year, which will cost between $1,000 and $2,000 and would ship in 2013. Dice Facebook Launches App Center to Promote “High-Quality” Apps: Facebook will launch an App Center where users can browse "high-quality" mobile apps, a key criterion being  that they integrate with the social network. It will host apps that work on Android, Apple's iOS and the Web. To actually get the apps, users will go to Google Play or the App Store. Eligible apps include sites and mobile apps that use Facebook's authentication system to offer users a personalized experience as well as those hosted on commercial Facebook pages.
