TheVerge. Even though now the idea of an iPhone with a click wheel might sound, well, wrong, it's interesting to know Apple considered it. The concept seems somehow similar to the optical trackpad that some BlackBerrys include. Thankfully, Apple opted for the touchscreen and a single hardware button.
The biggest problem with the 'iPod+phone' [concept] was we had a little screen and this huge hardware wheel. Sometimes you have to try things in order to throw it away
