You've snagged an interview. That's the good news. The bad news: Interviews suck. They're pressured, you have to be energetic even if the tension is running away with you, and you may think the guy across the desk is a true putz. But you've snagged the interview. That means the company's figured out you've got the skills they need and decided you could make a real contribution to its business. By the time you come in, the manager's goal is to check you out in person, to see if you fit with the culture, and figure out if he wants to work with you. And -- this is important -- it's your chance to figure out if you want to work with him. It can be nerve-wracking, but it's manageable as long you prepare.
