pinterestPinterest has just become the third most popular social network in the world, which is amazing given the relatively short time frame of the site. C'mon, what's so cool about Pinterest? Tell us in the comments below.  It all started in March 2010, when Ben Silbermann and a few programmers started Pinterest. By the end of 2010, the website had just 10,000 users and until the summer of 2011, the site was being maintained from a small apartment. But the inevitable happened in February when Pinterest was visited by 17.8 million of unique U.S. visitors. This unprecedented growth allowed them to surpass Tumblr, LinkedIn and even Google+ in February. Even if it's behind Facebook, whose users average 405 minutes per month, Pinterest users spend an average of 89 minutes per month. Are you one of them? A recent modea infographic reveals the stunning stats behind this site. It turns out that 68.2 percent of Pinterest users are women and that brands often tend to use this new social network to promote their business. Pinterest is also known as a great tool to increase earnings for regular users that use affiliate links. It turns out 28.1 percent of Pinterest users have an annual household income of more than $100,000. Pinterest Infographic
