.XXX DomainsBack in September, we told you that .XXX domain registrations had begun. Members of the adult Sponsored Community with either verifiable trademark rights or owners of exact matching domains had priority before Oct. 28. Then the non-adult Intellectual Property holders who are non-members of the adult Sponsored Community with verifiable trademark rights had the right to register an .XXX domain. Starting December 6, anyone can register a .XXX domain. The fee is between $70 and $100 a year per domain, but it can go higher depending on the register company. McAfee will guard and scan each domain to protect it against malware and provide a safe experience. Bringing .XXX domains online wasn't easy. Stuart Lawley, the CEO of ICM Registry, started to work with ICANN regulators in 1990s and endured more than 20 years of negotiations. Now it would be easier for consumers to discover, access, or restrict a triple-X website, Lawley said: with all major triple-X brands on .XXX domains,  it would be very easy to manipulate.
While adult entertainment is enjoyable to many adults, it is not appropriate for all audiences.  We created .XXX to address the unique needs of the online adult entertainment industry.  The public response has been overwhelming as consumers and the adult entertainment providers are excited about the benefits and infinite possibilities of .XXX .
So far, more than 100,000 .XXX domains have been registered and can be accessed. Viewers will have to wait a little longer for a few major brands to start to publish their content, but you can check it if you want.
