October 14th will be the day the iPhone 4S hits the streets. And it'll also be a Steve Jobs day, declare Apple fans at Studiocom:
We admire his work. We've embraced his vision. And we love what he's brought to the world. Let's take a day to honor the man himself and say thank you. Everyone around the world is invited to participate — in real life, Facebook, Twitter and here.
Those who wish to pay tribute to the former Apple CEO are invited to make Steve Jobs a conversation subject on Facebook or Twitter. Those who want to take a step further are invited to dress up like Steve Jobs. You can choose to wear just clad in a black turtleneck, or go full Steve with Levi's 501 jeans and a pair of New Balance. Apple announced the iPhone 4S on Tuesday, though fans and investors alike were disappointed by the absence of an iPhone 5. But with the news the Apple co-founder's passing, fans see the device differently. It's now being dubbed the "iPhone for Steve," the last device to be announced while he was still around. Earlier, I opined that Siri will be the main selling point of the iPhone 4S. I obviously did not know about Steve's condition at the time of writing. To Steve Jobs-admiring customers, Siri doesn't seem to matter anymore. Nor do new iPhone designs or larger screens. The iPhone 4S is the iPhone for Steve Jobs, and it will always be remembered that way. RIP Steve.
