Do you notice how it's always easier to point out mistakes on someone else's writing than it is to find them in your own work? Most of the time the magic simply vanishes when you're reviewing your own writing, especially if you're not giving yourself a break between writing and proofreading. Enter Kibin, a community of writers and editors who proofread each other's work for free. On signing up, you're given 25 credits, which can be used to request a proofreading service for up to 1,250 words. To get more credits, you either earn them by proofreading papers of others, or simply pay a penny per word. If you opt for the latter, you can expect your paper to be proofread in 24 hours. The downside, which will soon be addressed, according to the site's FAQ, is the inability to pick a specific editor. Your paper may be edited by anyone in the community, which isn't a big deal if you're only uploading a flyer. On the other hand, I've seen a user upload the entire chapter of his unpublished book, effectively making it public. If that isn't a concern, the 2,700+ editors on Kibin are ready for you right now.
