Rumors about an update to the MacBook Air line have been circulating for some time now. This week, however, is the first time we have seen a date to go with them: July 19th – around the same time as we are expecting to see OS X Lion hit the App Store.
According to BGR, the refreshed MacBook Air line is expected to do away with the Core 2 Duo in favor of the more powerful Sandy Bridge processors, specifically Intel’s 1.8GHz Intel Core i7, 1.7GHz Core i7, and the 1.7GHz Core i5.
The form factor is expected to remain the same, with a Thunderbolt port an almost certain inclusion.
Now, about those pesky Thunderbolt peripherals…
