Even though the new Panasonic’s Toughbook C1 looks the same as previous models on the outside, the company's making upgrades on the inside.

This rugged-looking baby is the lightest tablet in the world, at 3.28 pounds. Measuring only 12.1 inches and convertible, it surely sounds like an awesome gadget to have. The upgraded version comes well-equipped with 2 GB RAM -- which can be brought up to 8 GB. Its hard drive is a beautiful 320 GB, the battery life seems to last up until 12 hours nonstop, and the processor has been given an awesome boost. The Intel Core i5 2520M vPro comes with TurboBoost that can bring it from 2.50GHz to 3.2GHz. If you had the previous Toughbook, you know the startup time isn't that long. The upgraded one will take even less time. It seems to work well for those who are always on the road. It works with AT&T and a few other large networks, so you'll be able to stay online even if you’re on the move. This new version still has the optional Gobi 2000 3G broadband technology. The tablet still comes with its traditional Bluetooth, and has the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi. If you’re into multi touch screens, Toughbook has an option for it.
