Every year I go to Interop, I make sure that I get a tour of the Interop Net or Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC is the world’s largest temporary network, providing all the connectivity for exhibitors and attendees. It’s designed and built in San Diego about six months before the conference. After it’s tested, volunteers break it down, throw it into a truck, and put it back together in Las Vegas.
If you’ve got a new product, the NOC is a great way to show it off to the network engineering public. Every year it’s a showcase of the best equipment available.
