Increasing demand for its cloud computing services is spurring Rackspace Hosting, the San Antonio-based hosting provider, to seek 267 sales and technical professionals. The company, which currently employs 3,200 "Rackers" globally, grew by 24 percent last year and predicts higher growth in 2011. The hiring is primarily taking place in the U.S., with positions - some of which are on Dice - open in Texas, California, Illinois, Virginia and Georgia. The jobs include Linux and Windows administrators, systems engineers and network security administrators. In addition, Rackspace needs people skilled in different operating systems, Python scripting and Java. For many, security certifications are required within six months of joining. Following what it calls a stringent "values driven recruiting process," Rackspace focuses on candidates whose values are in line with the company's. The primary value is "fanatical support," as well as a passion for work, a familial work environment and results-driven approach. -- Chandler Harris
