Daily News Byte: The Tech Sector Added 47,000 Jobs So Far in 2010

Since the end of 2007, the tech sector lost 307,000 U.S. jobs because of the economic downturn. But according to Moody’s Analytics,  rising demand for products in Asia and Latin America has spurred the creation of 47,000 tech jobs here so far this year. The growth is coming is small pockets. Detroit for example, added 2,000 tech jobs as GM and Chrysler turned around, and Oklahoma City’s bid to compete with Silicon Valley has produced 800 jobs. The moral of the story? Your next job could be in an unlikely place. [BusinessWeek]
