TechAmerica’s latest Cyberstates report provides tidbits about New York, New Jersey and Connecticut’s place in the IT job market overall. Even though it’s based on data from 2007, the report still gives a good idea of where each state stands in comparison to others. Says New York Convergence:
- New York, employing 304,200 tech workers with a total payroll of $25.9 billion, was the #3 cyberstate.The state had a net gain of 2,700 tech jobs.
- New Jersey was 8th, employing 210,000 tech workers with total payroll of $19.7 billion. The state showed a net gain of 4,400 tech jobs.
- Connecticut was 24th, with 69,500 tech workers earning a total payroll of $5.9 billion. The state had a net gain of 1,400 tech jobs.
