Main image of article iRobot Packbots Show What's Inside Japanese Nuclear Plant
They look a lot like Pixar’s logo, but they're not as cute, and they're able to work in, say, deadly nuclear atmospheres. So a pair of robots from iRobot spent some of Sunday in the nuclear wasteland that is the Fukushima Daiichi power plant in Japan. Radiation levels are too dangerous for workers to enter some areas of the plant, so remote-controlled Packbots entered a reactor building to provide a video feed and take temperature and other  readings.
