Except that you need to be mutually followed on Twitter to send a direct message which is essentially a first-degree connection 😐

Morris,

Your comment is well-taken. The lines between first and second degree connections can get blurred in social networks. At Dice, we think of “first degree connections” as a mutual connection. Twitter recently changed the functionality of Direct Messages to allow for you to send a message to someone who follows you, but you have refrained from following. Hope this update on Twitter Direct Messaging is helpful.

Tucker,

I’m betting your comment is similar to Morris’ above. The lines between first and second degree connections can get blurred in social networks. A “first degree connections” to us at Dice is seen a mutual connection. Twitter changed the functionality of Direct Messages to allow for you to send a message to someone who follows you, but you don’t follow back.

I loved doing this! Annoyed that I got one question wrong though, that was a tough one. I am going to get all my recruiters to do this and will have a healthy little competition around it. Great idea!!

Hi,

This was a very useful test to prove and know our own potential and improve in the areas not covered. I hope we can have more of these quiz on a regular bases to keep us focused. Thanks.
