Photon-X LogoThe imaging technology company is moving its headquarters to Kissimmee, Fla., from Huntsville, Ala., and plans create 110 jobs over the next three years. The company landed $770,000 in state incentives based on its job-creation plans. It also has smaller offices in Dayton, Ohio, and the Washington, D.C., area. CEO Blair Barbour cited several reasons for the move to Florida, including the area’s proximity to theme parks, the health and life sciences park Medical City at Lake Nona and the region's military-simulation businesses. The company designs and develops complex electro-optical systems, sensors, photonics, and 3-D image-processing applications used in modeling and simulation. So far the company lists two open positions: First, Computer Vision Engineer & 3D Imaging Specialist and, second, Network Designer and Software Programmer. The company website says these positions are in Alabama.
