Digitalsmiths, a video discovery solutions provider, is expanding operations and opening a global discovery center in Denver. Speaking to Dice News, Company Spokesperson Betsy Carr noted that the Durham, N.C.-based company will hire 10 to 15 new employees at the location within the next 12 months. According to Carr, the jobs will span a variety of product and operations positions. The office is located in Denver’s lower downtown historic district, centrally located between Coors Field and the Pepsi Center. “As a result of our incredible demand and customer growth, Digitalsmiths realized there was no location for companies to test and experience the next-generation of video discovery offerings,” said Co-Founder and CEO Ben Weinberger in a statement. The new center will allow Digitalsmiths’ customers to preview, simulate and test deployments of the company’s platform across multi-screen environments, including set-top boxes, smart phones, tablets, smart TVs, and gaming consoles. Digitalsmiths’ Seamless Discovery platform allows video service providers to offer personalized search, recommendation and browsing features. The company’s customers span all media channels and devices. They include Time Warner Cable, Cisco, Warner Bros., Paramount, the NBA, NASCAR, zeebox and i.TV.
