Being valuable and keeping skills up to date were the next most-cited concerns. Given that layoffs are still touching the tech community, such worries are understandable. Despite the fact that Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows that the number of IT jobs continues to grow and the tech unemployment rate is well below that of the national average, the overall economy remain lackluster, and federal budget cuts due to sequestration aren't going to make things any better.
