The best way to get the hiring manager’s attention is to… go around HR and talk to the hiring manager. And not only is it possible to find their name, it’s also not all that tricky.  Here are some ways to suss them out.

Even if you acquire the HM name your resume and cover letter will likely be screened by HR or automagick software. I am unsure which is worse; software with no ability to read between the lines, or a HR drone with zero technical knowledge searching for the keywords.
