Content-sharing site Pinterest  has hired away Facebook’s director of monetization, Tim Kendall. TechCrunch reported that Zynga and Twitter had been aggressively recruiting him. Though it has named  Kristen E. Blum as CTO and executive vice president, J.C. Penney has eliminated its CIO position, held by Ed Robben who left the company this month. Blum comes from PepsiCo , where she was a CIO and senior vice president of enterprise transformation. Randy Sloan has been named vice president and CIO at Southwest Airlines. Sloan worked for 25 years at PepsiCo., most recently as senior vice president and CIO for PepsiCo International. Kathleen Wayton, Southwest's vice president of change leadership and business performance, has been promoted to vice president technology, commercial portfolio. Jeff Buhr, senior director technology, has been promoted to vice president technology, aircraft operations portfolio. Bill Shaughnessy, Yahoo’s former senior vice president of product management and product marketing, is the new president and chief operating officer at online health insurance company eHealth. He also will be a member of the board of directors. Georgia Health Sciences University in Augusta, Ga., has hired Charles Enicks as CIO. Enicks was CIO at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he led the IT function for five related schools, five hospitals and a 550-physician multi-specialty practice. Nicholas (Nick) Farsi has been named CIO at Atlanta-based NexxLinx, a business process outsourcing and marketing services firm.  He replaces  Rob Hornbuckle, who is taking the CTO position at NexxPhase, the multichannel cloud-based contact center subsidiary of NexxLinx. Prior to joining NexxLinx, Farsi served as an executive mentor with Advance Technology Development Center of Georgia Technology Institute. Dr. David L. Morse is Corning's new executive vice president and CTO. He replaces Dr. Joseph A. Miller Jr., who will retire on April 30. Morse  joined the company in 1976 as a composition scientist in glass research. Most recently, he was senior vice president and director of corporate research. AssetNation, which provides marketplaces for surplus and salvage assets, has hired  Sriram Palghat as senior vice president of technology. Upstream, the global marketing technology and solutions provider, has appointed Andrew Littlefield as vice president of online services. Littlefield was previously senior director of product management and business strategist at Sun Microsystems, Inktomi, and BEA. Eric Won has been promoted to CIO at the Small Business Administration. Won, who was previously deputy CIO, has worked for the federal government for 30 years in eight different agencies. The FBI's CIO of more than three years, Chad Fulgham, is leaving to return to the private sector. In 2010, Information Week named him among its “500 Innovators” for the bureau’s next-generation network and workspace initiatives.
