Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom revealed Instagram Android app at SXSW, but didn't give anyone a demo, as reported by TechCrunch. “In some ways, it’s better than our iOS app. It’s crazy,” he said. The Instagram iOS app was almost an instant hit among iPhone users, amassing more than one million users in three months. After a year that number grew to ten million and as of March 2012, the app had more than 27 million users. The growth rate is admirable since its only available on iOS systems.
