Apple Siri TrialApple's being sued by a New Yorker who says the iPhone's Siri doesn't work as advertised. When Siri was introduced last year, the community was crazy about this new feature. Frank M. Fazio bought an iPhone 4S because he liked what he saw about Siri. Once he used it, though, he wasn't impressed, and so filed suit against Apple, claiming its commercials are "fundamentally and designedly false and misleading." He's demanding "an award of compensatory damages, statutory damages, restitution, and all other forms of monetary and non-monetary and post-judgement interest."
In many of Apple’s television advertisements, individuals are shown using Siri to make appointments, find restaurants, and even learn the guitar chords to classic rock songs or how to tie a tie. In the commercials, all of these tasks are done with ease with the assistance of the iPhone 4S’s Siri feature, a represented functionality contrary to the actual operating results and performance of Siri.
Fazio says when he asked Siri for directions, she wasn't able to understand his question and provided the wrong answer after a long wait. Usually, this doesn't happen, but maybe Mr. Fazio was asking Siri for an impossible route to Heaven. Fazio thinks that the iPhone 4S without Siri is just an expensive version of the iPhone 4. He may be right, if you don't consider the A5 dual core processor and 8 megapixel camera. From my own point of view, it seems that Mr. Fazio didn't want an iPhone 4S so much as a new friend. However he made his purchase decision, he'll be remembered as the first guy to sue an intelligent personal assistant. LOL.
