China-based Huawei is gearing up to position itself as a serious contender to established Android handset and tablet vendors. At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, journalists had a glimpse at the company's upcoming MediaPad 10, a quad-core tablet powered by Huawei's K3 processor that sports an impressive 1920x1200 display and a 8-megapixel rear camera. The tablet will be LTE-ready and come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of box. The MediaPad 10 is thinner than most tablets in its class at 8.8mm, but not as thin as the Asus Transformer Prime, another quad-core tablet powered by Nvidia Tegra 3, at just 8.3mm. The MediaPad 10 is expected to debut in a few months. Pricing is not known at this point. Source & Photo: TheVerge
